Le Trousseau

  • Also called Bastardo in Portugal and Spain.
  • Also native to Franche Comté.
  • More voluminous, rounded leaves.
  • It represents 8% of Jurassien vines (160ha).
  • Also not very productive, it is a late ripener.
  • Montigny-les-Arsures is its historic stronghold.
  • It is particularly fond of warm slopes, surface marls and limestone clays.
  • The wines it produces are medium-bodied and more tannic than Poulsard.
  • It is used in the blends of AOP Arbois, Côtes du Jura, Crémant du Jura, Macvin du Jura and DOC Porto in Portugal.
